Upholding Access Rights – Recent Land Reform case law: developments and updates

Over the last 12 months, two decisive land reform cases have concluded in the courts, both of which could be significant in how Access Authorities approach their statutory responsibilities. At this event we will delve into the detail of those cases from the perspectives of both the legal teams and access specialists involved, and discuss the legacies and lessons learnt which could benefit the sector. The day will also cover the latest mediation process work being undertaken by the SORA (the Scottish Outdoor Recreation Association) which may provide another tool for Authorities as they seek to resolve challenging cases.

The event will be of particular interest to both public and private sector legal specialists, outdoor access professionals, other Access Authority staff and access and recreation organisations, as well as anyone with an interest in the law affecting access to land.
