Upholding Access Rights – Recent Land Reform case law: developments and updates

Date: Monday 3 June 2019

Time: 10:00 – 16:00

Location: The National Piping Centre & The Pipers’ Tryst Hotel, 30-34 McPhater Street, Glasgow, G4 0HW

Cost: £50 per delegate

Over the last 12 months, two decisive land reform cases have concluded in the courts, both of which could be significant in how Access Authorities approach their statutory responsibilities. At this event, we will delve into the detail of those cases from the perspectives of both the legal teams and access specialists involved, and discuss the legacies and lessons learnt which could benefit the sector. The day will also cover the latest mediation process work initiated by SORA (Scottish Outdoor Recreation Alliance) and now being taken forward by a NAF sub-group; it is hoped mediation may provide another tool for Authorities as they seek to resolve challenging cases..
