‘Paths for Little France Park’, Edinburgh – Sharing Best Practice to Improve Our Active Travel Routes

This Sharing Good Practice Event will highlight the high quality, multi-year, multi-phase Active Travel developments that have taken place within the Little France Park, Edinburgh and will include the recently completed Phase 2 active travel link from Little France Drive to ‘The Wisp’. This event is aimed at anyone wishing to gain a better understanding around the strategic planning, community involvement, partnerships, technical design, funding and practical implementation considerations of a significant active travel route infrastructure. It will be led by two of the project partners, namely: Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust and Cycling Scotland’s social enterprise sustainable transport consultancy (TP&E) with support from the City of Edinburgh Access Officer and Paths for All Technical Officer.
Who Should Attend?
Those working to support and improve access to outdoor environments and greenspace including outdoor access/planning professionals, public-private partnerships, NGO’s, organisations in charge of tourist and recreational development, those involved in active travel infrastructure and community path groups.
What Do I Need?
We will be walking through Little France Park to view works that have been undertaken. Attendees should ensure that they wear comfortable footwear and appropriate outdoor clothing for the time of year.
