Local People, Local Paths: Grants now live

This year’s Local People Local Paths Grant is now open.

Community groups across Scotland can now apply for up to £1500 to improve their local paths.  The grant can be used to purchase tools, safety equipment for volunteers, path materials, promotional materials such as leaflets, or the purchase of public liability insurance for local action days.

The grant is specifically aimed at projects and community groups who have the following outcomes:

1.     Develop and improve local path infrastructure.

2.     Encourage local people to use their local paths more frequently, and

3.     Increase local volunteering opportunities.

The grant is a limited fund which has been made possible through support from Scottish Natural Heritage.

For more information on grant please read out guidance notes available at http://www.pathsforall.org.uk/pfa/support/lplp.html

The application form must be submitted online, and successful groups must spend their money and submit a final report by 30th March 2014.
