All Forests Survey

Last year the National Forest Estate (NFE) was surveyed with a mixture of people / car counters and qualitative surveys – called All Forest Survey.

The All Forests Survey 2 Report was published in July and below is a link to the main report and the cycling & mountain bike factsheet.

The attached factsheet is focused on NFE within the Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN) area and compares figures with the Scotland average. Some of the headlines are that there are 1.2 million visits on the NFE within CSGN, with 95% of those being local or day visits. Average spend per head in CSGN is £4 per head compared to national average of £18. The average visitor age is 46.
