North Lanarkshire Council (on behalf of the Lanarkshire Greenspace, Health and Wellbeing Partnership) are seeking to appoint a self motivated and enthusiastic individual to develop a sustainable programme of health walks throughout North and South Lanarkshire, working with existing projects and developing new ones. Educated to SVQ4, HND or degree level in Countryside Management, Recreation or a related discipline you will demonstrate extensive relevant working experience in health promotion and associated activities and must be willing to undertake training relevant to this post. You must be a strong communicator and be able to establish positive working relationships with many different partners and stakeholders.
You must also be computer literate and be able to operate Microsoft Office packages. You will be required to prepare regular reports to steering groups and national partners on the progress of the programme. Some working outside normal working hours including; weekends, evenings and public holidays may be required from time to time.
A driver’s licence is essential for this post. This post is temporary for 2 years.
